Rent the Whole Island. Not Just a Room.
Between crowded resorts and the “Airbnb bait-and-switch,” the reset you need is being drowned out by the noise. We provide a “private bubble” where the only schedule that matters is yours. Arrive stressed. Leave aligned and energized.
An entire private island in Belize for your group alone — all-inclusive, with a private chef, dedicated staff, transfers, and the reef as your backyard. One group at a time. No other guests. No fighting for pool chairs. When you arrive, the gate closes behind your group and the entire 7.5 acres is yours until you leave.

A leap of faith, made safe.
Wiring a deposit for an island you haven't set foot on is a real leap. Here is exactly how we protect it, before you send a cent.
Start with a conversation, not a payment.
Every booking opens with a no-obligation consult. We talk through your dates, your group, and the details with nothing to pay and no commitment to make.
Why a wire, and what it buys.
A 50% deposit by USD bank wire to reserve your dates; the balance is due 30 days before arrival (paid in full upfront if you book within 30 days). Bank wire is the secure standard for bookings this size.
Plans change. Your dates can too.
The earlier you tell us, the more flexible we are. 30+ days out: reschedule once free within 6 months, or cancel and we keep just 5%. 15 to 29 days: cancel and we keep 10%. Inside 14 days: non-refundable. All of it is in your agreement, no fine print.
The weather we can't control.
Belize's storm season runs June through November, and we plan around it. If conditions on our end ever make your stay impossible, including unsafe transfer weather, you choose: reschedule free within 6 months, or take a full refund. We would always rather move your trip than have you weather a storm.
We recommend travel insurance.
For a trip of this value, we recommend a travel policy, ideally cancel-for-any-reason coverage, to protect your flights and anything beyond our control. We're glad to point you to providers our guests have used.
Still weighing it?
Tell us your dates before someone else does. We hold one group at a time, and the calendar fills from the holidays out.
Book a Call→Some Trips Deserve the Whole Island.
Tesoro holds four to eight people who would rather share an island than a lobby. Four kinds of group book it again and again — see which one is yours.
Quiet Luxury
Not a suite. Not a villa. The whole island, unshared, for a couple or two. Quiet mornings, private dinners, and nowhere anyone else to be. Up to four guests.
Adventure Group
For the crew that came to do it all. Reef fishing, island hopping, reef snorkeling, tank diving — guided and geared. You pick the adventure; we handle the rest.
Milestone Trip
A 40th, an anniversary, a reunion of the people who actually matter. Fill the cabanas, gather around one long table, and let the whole island hold the celebration.
Wellness Retreat
A small leadership group, off the grid and off the calendar. No agenda, no notifications, just your people and a week with no reason to check the time.
Take the 1-Minute Quiz
Where the only schedule is the tide.
You arrive still running on a packed calendar and a phone that won't stop. By the second morning, the only thing the group is tracking is the sun.
Slow, then the reef.
Coffee on the deck before anyone's up. Breakfast whenever the group drifts in. Then the dock: snorkel the reef straight off it, or take the glass-bottom kayaks out and watch the coral and fish slide by under your feet.
The island, or the open water.
Lunch in the pavilion. Then choose: a hammock and a book, a yoga session over the water, or the included half-day snorkel trip out to the barrier reef. The chef packs you off with food; the staff handle the boat.
Dinner, then dark sky.
Chef Gerben cooks around the day, your catch if you went out, whatever you're craving if you didn't. The whole group at one table in the pavilion, lingering long after the plates are gone. Then the dock goes quiet and the tide does the rest: some nights the bioluminescent fish drift in and it lights up.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it really just our group on the island?
Yes. Tesoro is buyout-only — one group at a time, never split or shared. No other guests, no overlapping bookings. From the moment you arrive until you leave, the whole island is reserved for your group alone.
What does the all-inclusive package actually cover?
The whole-island buyout for up to four guests over four nights: all four cabanas, a private chef cooking three meals a day, dedicated staff, round-trip group transfers, snorkel gear and kayaks, all non-alcoholic drinks, and concierge planning. Taxes are included, with no resort fees or per-person add-ons. Not covered: international airfare to Belize and the Tropic Air flight to Dangriga (your group books those), plus alcohol and additional excursions.
*Please note: you may customize your all-inclusive package with the Concierge Dream Planner. Additional fees may apply.
How do we get there?
Fly into Belize City — Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport — then take a short Tropic Air flight (the “puddle jumper”) on to Dangriga. From Dangriga, we coordinate your boat transfer out to the island and plan the timing with you ahead of arrival, so the final leg is handled. International airfare and the Tropic Air flight to Dangriga aren’t included in your buyout, but everything from Dangriga to the island is on us.
What if there's a hurricane?
Belize’s storm season runs June through November, and a storm landing on your exact dates is rare, but here’s how it’s covered. If a named storm makes your stay unsafe or impossible, you choose: move your dates within 6 months at no charge, or take a full refund. And if a named storm is forecast to track toward Belize during your travel window, you can reschedule once at no charge even inside our 14-day window, so you’re never forced to fly toward a storm just to keep your booking. The one thing we can’t control is your flights, so for any trip in storm season we strongly recommend cancel-for-any-reason travel insurance to cover airfare and connections.
Are there sandflies or mosquitoes?
Like any Caribbean caye, there can be sandflies and mosquitoes, mostly around dawn and dusk and worst when the wind drops. The cabanas and pavillion are screened and air-conditioned, the sea breeze keeps most of it offshore, and we spray the property. Pack a good repellent and you’ll barely notice them.
What if our flight is delayed and we miss the boat transfer?
It happens, and we plan for it. Your transfer from Dangriga is coordinated by our team, so if your inbound flight slips we arrange the next safe crossing. Send your flight details ahead of time and the concierge keeps an eye on them.
Can Chef Gerven handle allergies and diestary needs?
Easily. Chef Gerben cooks every meal fresh on the island, so vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies, and kids’ menus are all simple with a little notice. Send the details after you book and we’ll build the menus around your group.
Can we drink? Is there a bar?
We don’t sell alcohol on the island. You’re welcome to bring your own, or ask us to pre-stock the bar to your preferences before you arrive — billed separately. All non-alcoholic beverages are included throughout your stay.
Is there reliable power and hot water?
Yes. The island runs on solar power with generator backup, so air conditioning, fans, hot water, and charging all work around the clock. We have a desalinasation unit and reverse osmosis for running water.
How far ahead should we book, and is there a minimum stay?
The minimum stay is 4 nights. Because only one group is on the island at a time, prime dates (holidays and the dry season) tend to go [6 to 12 months] out. If your dates are flexible, we can often find something closer in, just ask.
Is $10,000–$27,000 reasonable for a group?
Split across a group, it reads differently. Up to four guests over four nights is $10,000 ($5,000 a couple, or $2,500 a person), all-inclusive, taxes in, no resort fees. The cost drops as the group grows: a full island of eight is about $4,250 a couple for the four nights, or roughly $1,060 a couple a night for the entire island. At a comparable Belize private island, a single room runs more than that per night, before a 9% tax and a 15% resort fee.
Do we tip the staff?
Gratuities are never required but always appreciated if you feel our team has made your stay exceptional. Guests customarily leave a gratuity of $500–$700 USD for a 4–7 night stay, depending on the size of their party and level of service received. You may present your tip to Chef Gerben at checkout, and it will be shared among the Tesoro Staff.
Can I get online or take a call if I have to?
Wi-Fi reaches across the island, steady enough for email, messaging, and the occasional video calls or streaming. Most guests find they use it far less than they expected.
Let's talk through your dates.
Not a call center. One of our founders will walk through your dates, your group, and what a stay on Tesoro actually looks like.
